Black Dog Ride

I have decided to head off to Alice Springs with a group of riders from Sydney joining in on the Black Dog Ride.
This event is a fund raising ride to support the work of the Black Dog Institute in raising awareness of illness caused by depression and anxiety. Angry Anderson is the ambassador for the event and I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic ride. Check out the live map page after 5 September 2010 if you want to see where I’m riding.
The Black Dog Ride began as one mans’ personal quest to complete a solo motorbike trip around Australia to raise community awareness of depression. In Australia, each year around 1,000,000 adults and 100,000 young people live with depression.

Penguin Power
Most people who know me also know that I love penguins. I have a few around my house including one in the freezer! He might be a bit lonely in there as he hasn’t been out for years. Maybe I should take him for a ride. Heck, winter in Canberra is chilly enough for penguins.
